Cardiff Fire Merchandise Launch

Following a successful launch of the Cardiff Fire online shop with a charity t-shirt, I turned the focus to launching a brand new range of merchandise. I created three new designs to be made available in a range of styles, colours and sizes.

With hockey games not returning for some time, it was decided to give Fire supporters the chance to pre-order the official merchandise online so they could get rink ready and show off their Fire fandom at home.

I launched the new collection on the online store with a website article and series of posts across all social media platforms. The merchandise was available to pre-order for a limited time only helping to create an urgency to place an order and solve the problem of holding any left over stock during the off-season.

To help reach a wider audience on social media, I ran t-shirt giveaway on Facebook asking followers to like a post and leave a comment saying which of the designs were their favourite. The post included a link to the online shop to help maximise pre-orders, receiving 45 entries and generating 2,335 impressions in just 3 days with an engagement rate of 6.3%.

Over the 14-day launch, there were 24 thousand impressions generated on Twitter, over 6 thousand people reached on Facebook, with 1,200 hits on the website and over 100 items pre-ordered.
